Oceans (where feet may fail)

8 February 2024

I’m so thrilled to share my first worship song on my first-ever grand piano (Yamaha G3E)! Thankful to God that my dream has come true. I always see myself playing beautiful music on a huge grand piano in heaven. Before I get there, may “your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

I believe everyone is gifted with a certain talent. However, you would only become a professional if you keep exercising your talent. As for me, musical talent is being trained instead of being born. When I was 17, I practised 4 hours a day to prepare for the ABRSM Grade 8 practical exam. It’s normal for a musician to practise 8 hours a day to prepare for a concert.

In the parable of the bags of gold, a master gave his servant five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more.  So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more.  But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. (Matthew 25:16-18). Which one do you think is the smartest?

After the master returned from his journey, he said to the first and second servants, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” (Matthew 25:21,23). But he said to the third servant, “You wicked, lazy servant!” He took away his bag of gold and gave it to the one who had ten bags! When God bless you with a talent, exercise it until you master it to be a blessing for someone. Do not hide your talent!

My late dad worked very hard all his life and saved all his money. I’m truly blessed with his hard-earned savings. Instead of keeping it, I invested in this grand piano with a beautiful and serene tone of music in worshipping the Lord.

Baba, thank you so much for your love. I believe you will be so proud of me for worshipping the Lord with this grand piano from you. One day in heaven, I wish to play on a huge grand piano for you and Abba Father. Before you left us, you told me that you dreamed of Mama telling you about the bungalow that faces the ocean. I’m looking forward to seeing you both in this bungalow in heaven one day. I miss you both….

I like to invite you to the Oceans with my grand piano. Imagine that God calls you out upon the waters into the great unknown where your feet may fail. All you need to do is –

I will call upon Your Name

And keep my eyes above the waves

When oceans rise

My soul will rest in Your embrace

For I am Yours and You are mine

Let’s invite the Spirit to lead you where your trust is without borders. You will walk upon the waters wherever He calls you. The Spirit will take you deeper than your feet could ever wander, and your faith will be made stronger in the presence of our Saviour. Amen! Amen! Amen!
